I would probably renew if they could do less than 20 bucks for 12 months with travel link and traffic updates included. Eventually it will either be free or gone entirely. Their business model is not working, they have never turned a profit on subscription revenue alone. They need to increase ad revenue and give it away or close up shop altogether.

I would renew but I can't get over how crappy the sound quality is. I have the 10 speaker sony system and the sound just sounds like the low bit rate crap I use to rip CDs back when I had a 16mb mp3 player. It's good as background noise but as soon as you turn it up it's horrible.

I have the same radio and I agree entirely. Not only does the local FM stations have better quality, but they have local ads and local and national news. Who really cares what happens in the middle of nowhere Kansas (except the people who live there)

Eventually they will have to do what AOL did and go to a free setup. The general public is starting to realize that they don't want to pay for an inferior product. Or pay very little.

Has anyone got a good deal on renewal with the radio and nav traffic?

Agree with this completely. I think I've used the Sirius 5 times since I got my car back in December. I used to have XM back in the day, but now with all the ads, and HD radio available, why would I pay for music? Plus, if there isn't anything on I like, I just pop in a USB drive and play music off that.

My trial expired like a year ago and I have yet to receive a single piece of mail from them. Instead I use slacker and pay for their $4 a month package. It's 90% the same idea as Sirius, but so much cheaper with total device access. Until Sirius catches up to that pricing and delivery model I don't see a reason to subscribe.

I can live without it since we only put 400 to 500 miles a month on the car but if they keep offering to me for 5 bucks a month I'll take it.

You should be able to get 6 months for $25.
