Hope it is that and resolved. Funny, I was just thinking about this the other day. My car was build date Sept, 2011 and I bought it (new) in April, 2013. I should probably get under the car and make sure everything is securely in place.

Sorry to here about this. Is this the FoMoCo oil filter that comes from the factory or has your original been changed and a Motorcraft FL-910S oil filter was used?

(I just purchased a case of FL-910S filters)

I've changed the cars oil 4 times in 16.5k miles with the fl-910s and no issues. Strange.

Yeah, it's very strange. I've used nothing but Fprd OEM filter on ally Fords including my old 2009 Focus which is the same filter as the MK3
