I probably wouldn't have done it if not for your write up. Just took a quick glance, grabbed the tools, and was done. Only difference was that the shifter retaining screws were 7mm on my car.

Interesting. Although, you have a 2008 compared to my 2011 so its very possible there are differences in hardware.
