In your "what you drive" you have listed a 12 Focus...

Everybody knows the real Focus was the C170, maybe that is what he means.

For a 2012 SE that is pretty much all of the options. However MFT was not an option.

That is how I got mine, 203a, SE package, Winter package, sunroof and 5-spd. So the only other option was the painted 16" wheels or the black 17" wheels and the two tone leather interior.

So I have Sync, heated cloth seats, heated mirros with turn signals, fog lamps, read disk brakes, etc.

Exactly, the C170 might have been new 13 years ago but by around 3 years ago it was well past it's prime. The C1, and C1MCA are where it's at today. C346 is a much more refined product than the C170 was.

Generally speaking, higher education levels equate to higher income levels. I have always thought that most buyers with higher education levels (college, grad school) go with foreign brands such as Honda etc. Conversely, domestic companies like Ford often sell to an overall lower-education level/lower income base so they typically sell more lower trim level vehicles than higher ones. Go to an area like Northern VA (outside of D.C.)...mostly higher trim-level imports by and large. The overall education level is high in that area as are the income levels. Go to a rural area in VA and you see mainly domestics and lower trim levels. My point is this, I think you are more likely to see higher trim level Honda Civics (EXs) than higher trim level Ford Focuses (Titaniums) on the road based on the demographics of the typical Ford vs. Honda owner. Discuss. Finally, I fall into the higher education/income level and went with a Ford..go figure!
I also have an advanced degree but opted for a Ford even thoough most of my neighbors are driving foreign cars. For what I wanted, Ford offered the most bang for the buck. Besides, who wants to be like everyone else?

We're car twins (red candy and all)... other than my painted 16". Honestly, a very well optioned car for the price.

Since this thread started, I started to pay more attention to what type of foci I see around my area in central NJ. Almost all of them are Titaniums or SELs. I would say most of them are Tis.

Thats kinda funny. There is someone else where I work that has the twin to my car.

I have to agree, the options for the price where great. I wish I could have gotten leather, like the 2013's can, but the cloth seats are nice and alot better then the base cloth seats.

Getting a loaded SE in 2012 is also what Consumer Reports recommended because of DCT and MFT issues.
