Nice car!

Well, you'd be wrong on that one, at least, because I had not seen that one before. I'm glad I have now. Thanks for the pictures. That looks pretty good and the cleaner, less cluttered look like that car has is always my favorite.

(You are not helping with my indecision about what color to buy, though. I thought I had eliminated SGM, but seeing how good it looks on that car makes me reconsider.)

There's a line there somewhere you don't wanna cross

20s look OK on a 4,000 lb Nissan Murano,

but anything that big on a Focus would start to look like a fail to me:

from "Focus Fanatics > Ford Focus Discussions > Ford Focus & General Car Chat > You're doing it wrong!(Post autofails here!)"
(Could you photoshop something like that on a Focus, just for laughs?)

There are, of course, situations that call for that, though.

from "Focus Fanatics > Ford Focus Discussions > Ford Focus & General Car Chat > You're doing it wrong!(Post autofails here!)"

Sometimes even 18s on a Focus start to look to me like one of the caricature edits you do for other members' cars.
(This one is my favorite, maybe because those are my favorite wheels, and they look so good with Red Candy.)

from Focus Fanatics > Ford Focus Discussions > Ford Focus Builds & General Showroom > Post your MK3 Ford Focus (2012-Present) Pics!"

I think the 17s from a Fusion SE you put on your Focus sedan are just right. To each his own, though.

I do love the 17 size, but I do wish my tires were thinner, and closer to an OEM sidewall, they make the wheels look like 16s to me. But that's me.

But some of these biiiiiiig wheels (22s and higher) look ridiculous on most cars. The one car I like the 22s on are the Edge Sport. Otherwise, it's overkill.

I was furiously trying to get the black wheels, but to me, they are not worth over 700 with half worn tires. I'd give 750 with less than 7-8k on them, but just my two cents.

As for color, SGM looks good half the time, in my honest opinion. It's great that it's metallic, but I'm not a fan of gray, it's too bland. It can definitely be done up beautifully like dyn085's, but I prefer white/black/blue/ruby red/ and sometimes yellow

Oh....dipped the wheels earlier than expected. (don't give me hate for dipping, I wanna be able to revert to OEM finish when I grow to dislike them, and powdercoating isn't worth it unless these were expensive wheels)

First coat

And unfortunately it took me until an hour past sundown so here's the finished product, sans some tire polishing needed to take the excess dip off. Day shots to come tomorrow, and weekend
