So I went shooting a few pictures today with my camera and my phone. Neither seem to do extremely well at 8pm, but they came out pretty cool.

Grandma, what big wheels you have.

That ride height looks good. Great photo-chop job, matching the angle and lighting, but the lighting in that shot makes it hard to see the wheels. Is that slightly gold tint intended? That would look good. Didn't take me as long this time to recognize them:

I think the 17"ers you have already look better, though. Not sure why, but wheels with an odd-numbered pattern of spokes always look better to me than even-numbered. (I've been told I am odd, so maybe that's why.) The 17"ers also preserve more of your turning circle and ride/noise quality, not to mention the lower cost of replacing the tires. On a Focus the bigger ones kinda' push the limit of the Chip Foose style of almost-cartoonish look to me -- aesthetically unbalanced with so much wheel and so little tire. The Fusion is big enough to pull off the 19" and still look more balanced. It looks even better with the skinnier spokes:

These wheels got the darker stainless steel/smoked-silver finish this year, which looks even better. Too bad you can't get a set of them in 18" (or even 17"). They would look really good on your car.

If you're serious about going to different wheels, the 17"s you have should not be too hard to sell.

Yeah I just wanted to see what many spokes would look. My least favorite type of wheel is 4 spokes. It just looks really bad to me, and I'd rather run steelies than have 4 spoke alloys. The 17's are great for now, I would like lower profile tires in the future, but they handle pretty well (close to my old 16's). I got the idea since someone recently acquired the 19" 5 spokes on the white Fusion you posted. I intended them to be more graphite, but gold is a nice color too, lol.

The guy I bought my wheels off of had the 19's off the white Fusion, but with a nicer, darker shade. They looked beautiful, but I can't justify $1,000 on wheels for a Focus right now. I'd rather upgrade the performance.

Thanks for the kind words, though, much appreciated!

Quick update: Bought vinyl to tint taillights, unfortunately, the lights are extremely difficult to add vinyl to because of the odd tabs and the 3d curves. I ordered nightshades to come on wednesday.

I did start making videos of the car, feel like pictures are boring.

I really like the look that results when only part of the lights are tinted (either just the red or clear, not both) as you have done here. Nice!
