At first when I saw those baby blue wheel covers I thought they looked a bit weird, but now that it's been a while, I still do. Unquestionably unique, at least. The Fusion wheels were definitely a big improvement, and still not something anyone else has on a Focus.

You might be interested in one idea I've had. I was going to keep to myself until I could try it for real but the more I think about it the less I think that will ever happen. I hope you don't mind that I used one of your photos to demonstrate:

You might have to look closely. Someone with skills (and a budget) like hurtinfocus might tackle it (http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=289061), but I'd probably just go with the factory wing. It looks pretty good and is probably wind-tunnel proven (they use it for the SFE package), where my idea might be worse for aerodynamics. Of course, whether it improves or harms aesthetically is a matter of taste. I'm not even sure I like it yet, without a solid model to look at from different angles. Just a thought at this point.

Blue covers looked awesome from far away, but up close, it looked pretty ghetto.

Your pics aren't working right now for me

Me, too. Strange, they worked when I previewed the post before submitting it. This was not intentional in order to add suspense, just user error. I've just started using Flickr, so I'm still not sure what I did wrong or whether re-posting the links will fix it permanently, but I can see them in my post for now (but not in your reply.) I tried uploading them to focusfanatics, but it shrunk them too much to be useful so I'll have to keep fidling with Flickr 'til I get it right if this correction does not endure. (I'm quick to admit to user error when that's the case, but I hate it when I can't tell what error I've made so I can avoid repeating it.) If all else fails maybe I can just put them in a PM to you. (Can you see me now?)

Now they work

I've looked into that kinda spoiler, something very BMW-like, but the trunk lids are similarly shaped. No one has really made anything other than the small lip from 3d Carbon

Took a picture in the same place I did last year to try to get a comparison of differences.

Looking good. I've always thought those fusion rims would work on a focus, they look great.

I'll have to check out the lip from 3d Carbon. It occurred to me after I posted the photo-chopped (I don't have PhotoShop) picture of your car that someone else may already be selling someting similar, but had not bothered to look for it. I know I had not seen one on this site, and doubt that anyone anywhere has custom molded one to look like a seamless part of the trunk lid. As good as it might end up looking, I'm sure it would be more bother than it would be worth. It wouldn't be something you could turn around and sell copies of to other people as could be done with a bolt-on part (wing or lip). Fun to daydream anyway.

I have Photoshop but I use a different program that's more familiar to me. lol

But yeah, I've been looking into just getting an oem/oem lookalike for now.

That sounds like a good idea. I think I found the 3d Carbon "Rear Flush Wing" you mentioned:

http://www.carid.com/2012-ford-focus...r-5052476.html

They call it a wing, but it looks more like a "lip" than a "wing" to me. The OEM style wings I've seen on E-bay were selling for less, and I think look better. The lip has the advantage of being less common, but it is barely visible, as small as it is.

If it cost $50 or so, it wouldn't be an issue, but oem-style ones are selling for $102 +/- shipped. The trunk lid does look like it has a lip spoiler already because of how it's shaped (right above the third brake light). 1 or 2 inches higher would really set the trunk off.
