cheap mod with great results

so i finally go around to replacing the dog bone bushings with the energy suspensions poly bushings Part Number: 4.1123...i have to say for the price(~$30 with shipping) this is one of the better mods i've done to the svt...took all of about an hour, most of the time was watching the old rubber burn out of the mount. pressing the larger bushing in with a vice was a bit of a pita. hardest part was getting the bolt back through the smaller bushing into the trans, didn't seem to want to line up. shifting is a lot more firm. did notice a little vibration on start up and launching the car slow in traffic, only present up to 1000rpm or so...if you haven't done this yet, do it now!!lol:)

It is a great feeling when you get into your drive.

And yes, initially you will have lots of vibration. But once it settles in, you don't really feel it as often and then you will notice how planted the car feels when driving and shifting.

I have all 3 and it feels great. And have had all for 2 years now.

I put the dog bone mount from CFM on. Hated it, too much vibration and interior noise. Eventually replaced all 3 mounts as the passenger side was completely wasted. Yes, more money but getting your SVT back to factory specs goes a long way to enjoying your SVT.

I was going thru a few down streams O2 sensors before I went CFM on the dog bone! and had no vibration plus said goodbye to the O2 sensors problem.

Cheap mods with awesome results are always good. But I've never regretted poly mounts.

After mine has broken in I miss the stiffness but it is certainly better than what it was before I replaced it. There is no more ambiguity in the clutch engagement, and shifts are way more solid. I'm thinking one of the other mounts may need replacing still since I get a clunk on the 1-2 shift still.

I get vibrations at weird times. but nothing terribly annoying. (not during regular driving)
