Plasti Dip 16" '13 Focus rims?

Does anyone here have a '13 Focus SE with the 16" wheels plasti dipped in black? I want to see what they look like before I buy a few cans. Thanks! I thought I saw someone with a blue Focus with black, stock rims.

if nobody, just try it. stuff is cheap, lasts forever once on, and will peel off right away if you don't like it. can't hurt to just try it!

That's why I love Plasti Dip. :) haha. I'm going to do that. And maybe black out some other things. I don't know what to black out!

Funny you should ask because I just started doing mine last night. I did 1 can of black plasti per wheel and also trying out the glossifier on top of that. The tough part is finding the proper conditions to spray it. Ie:low humidity, out of sunlight, etc. Doesn't look too bad for the price of it.

I didn't tape off or use cards to prevent overspray on the tires. I saw videos of people literally peeling it away from the tires in one big sheet. However, I seem to have to do quite a bit of picking to peel the dip off of the tires. Is there a solution to apply on it to rub it right off? Wd40, acetone, tire cleaner?

i just left it on the tires tbh, it was just about winter so whatever. still picking off pieces here and there (well, I was until I got my summer tires), but it's not a huge deal. i'd say do the ford logos, foglight bezels, wheels obviously, and whatever else jumps at you. do some eyelids while youre at it! just make sure to put it on heavy and peel the tape immediately

I plasti dipped my wheels Jan 2012. I havent done a thing to them since and they look perfect. Small chips here and there but they can be easily touched up when I have time, I should have a picture or two I can post...

Little dirty, and you can see a little overspray left on the tires. This was taken shortly after they were sprayed I think, there is none of the overspray left now
