I replaced my Focus with a Focus ST with the six speed manual and the delightful turbocharged engine that's as powerful if not more so than the last of the old Ford 3.0 L n/a v6 engines in the old Fusion.

This is something I have considered too, heres my list:

2010-up Mazda 3 GT with 6 speed manual
2010-up Mazdaspeed 3
2014 Fiesta ST (new)
2013 Focus ST (base or used)
2010-up VW GTI with 6 speed

I wrecked my 2013 SE and replaced it with a 2013 ST, but If something were to happen to the ST I'd move to a new 5.0 mustang, a c5/c6 vette, or a G8/CTSV. No more FWD for me after this.

The base ST comes with the 2012 SE sport seats, and the sync with myford system (the 4.2" lcd color display media center) rather than the MyFordTouch system on the ST 201 and 202A.
