I replaced my Focus with a Mk4 VW GTI.

Haven't looked back since. But hopefully the Mk4 will get replaced with a Mk5 GTI by next year. We'll see.

I test drove an ST yesterday, it seems the automatic really kills this car for me. I'm going to look at some other options.

I would have gotten the ST estate had it been available here, but the Hatch is not bad either.

The long roof MK3 looks good to me.

Mid engined tube frame based car propelled by a Zetec/SVT. Maybe like a custom ariel atom or ford MA concept, but it'll sound better than a civic engine

Of course it'd take allot of so will probably never happen, a more realistic replacement would be a later gen focus or a golf...

I am actually planning on replacing my Focus in the near future. I am going to buy my dream car, a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300E (or D), Light Ivory with tan interior.

^

Because I love the styling inside and out of the W124 chassis, and also because I simply don't need such a huge car as an S-Class... that's a bit too big for my needs. Plus it's much harder to find an 80's S-Class in decent shape... most of the ones I see have absolutely filthy engines and the interiors are worn and torn to hell, and the paint is faded and coming off everywhere. IDK why... it's just very, very difficult to find an 80's S-Class in really good condition. But regardless, I love the look and performance/feel of the W124 far better anyway, so a 300E (or D) is the car for me.
