There's one less SVT on the road now...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/1003440...n/photostream/

After only two short months of SVTF ownership my car has been reduced to a pile of scrap. I've been a Focus owner for quite some time now (I had a 2002 SE for about two years), but ever since I started doing research on the Ford Focus I've always wanted an SVT. I'm sad that my time with this car was so short, but I'm very thankful no one was badly injured in the wreck. I'm still a Focus Fanatic, even though I find myself without a Focus at the moment. I haven't decided if another SVT is in my future, but it was definitely a fun car while it lasted.

I wasn't in the car when it happened. As far as details go, all I really know for sure is my fiance was driving home and for some reason he did not see anything coming when sitting at a stop sign. Clearly there was a car coming and my Focus took a pretty good impact to the driver's side and was then pushed into another car that was sitting at the other stop sign causing some damage to the passenger side. Both side airbags went off. My fiance had a bad concussion from the crash and is unfortunately unable to remember anything that happened that day (he doesn't even remember being at work).

Is it too late to return the ring?

j/k, maybe.

I'm sure you'll have another Focus in no time. (By that I mean, insurance rental car)

I'll have to check into that lol j/k

I miss my SVT but thankfully I walk to work and we have another car so it's not extremely urgent that we get another car. I have time to look. I'll definitely be keeping a lookout for any SVTFs for sale near me. It was just so fun to drive.

Probably the damn A pillar. I've been blocked more than a few times because of that.

That is definitely possible. It could also have been because of corn. We live in a rural town and everywhere you go there are corn fields and this time of year when the corn's tall it can be very difficult to see at certain stop signs.
