Thanks for the info! I guess I will look at it as a $25 bonus option!!

will they go lower with the strip? i got 5% and it's great! it feels much sportier cuase the windshield appears to be shorter. I don't even use the sun visor a lot of the times... I can stare into the sun now lol! but seriously don't stare into the sun even with 95% light block :P

The ONLY downsides is if you pull up too close to the light - you cant see through the 5% and grid enough to see the lights change, and that at night it might as well be 0% tint lol.

Most states (if not all) will not legally allow windshield tint lower than the DOT line marked on the windshield.

I'm of the theory that 'everything is legal, as long as you don't get caught'.

That being said, they would have done 5% on windshield, but I felt it was too dark. (My friend has 5% all around on her Focus, and I have to roll down the windows to make a turn at night (not fun in winter).)

Looks good! I can tell the tint isn't uniform but if it doesn't bother you then ok!
yeah 5% all around is like... wtf .... i have a death wish lol
I got 30% all around but almost wish it was a tiinnnyyy bit darker... like 25% maybe.

just curious how much did you pay? I ended up paying $340 for everything. It was their highest quality film and came w/ lifetime warranty.

@TboneZX3: I was talking about tint % not the positioning.

How is the tint not uniform?

It should look different considering I had the back windows done darker than the front. I find doing this keeps me from getting pulled over. (as per state law in WI, front windows are to be less tint than rear).

My total was $242 (I've had so much tint done at this place that I get an automatic discount!) with lifetime warranty.

They actually will pull you over for tint? Colorado has tint limits too but rarely ever enforced unless you piss of the cop. I've been pulled over alot in my life and I never failed to have my driver's side wondows rolled down long before the cop even exits his car so the tint isn't an issue.

I can't believe people are concerned with tint laws...really? Just tint to the limit and don't worry about it...its like the folks with the jacked up trucks complaining about bumper height laws...the law is there for a reason. I am surprised that a tint shop would tint your car darker than the limit allows. Even funnier is the tip to roll your window down before the cop comes up...hahahahahaha. Rant over.
