HELP ASAP! RS Linkshaft vs Duratec Linkshaft

a shop is right in the middle of my rs suspension install. what we found out is the rs zetec and 2.3 duratec have different linkshaft bearings. the rs zetec is much smaller than the 2.3 duratec. and since the motors are completely different, the rs zetec bracket will not bolt up to the 2.3 duratec engine. has anyone else done the rs suspension on a duratec car? how did you solve the problem? is there a different bracket out there i can purchase? need help asap as the shop is in the middle and i want to avoid some fabrication work, thanks!

rs top, duratec bottom:

rs left, duratec right:

Do you need the RS axle because of the wider track? Can you piece together an assembly using a US Duratec inner axle, and RS outer axle? Or are the CVs completely different too?

the shop wants to try that, they want to pull apart the inner and outer axle to see if the duratec inner will mate with the rs outer. they checked with a local ford parts dealer and they only sell the assembly as one piece, so buying one by itself isnt really an option, and hopefully pulling them apart will work... :/
