I loved me some Rockford all through the 80s-90s. I had systems of all different sized RF subs n amps. My fav was my 4 xlc 18s in one of my escorts. Had 2 power 500s pushing them AND rode 4 people to sbn to compete. I got a pic of it somewheres around here...

yep more powah!!! going to get a t2500.1bdcp eventualy then sell the t1500.1bdcp. really hoping to be able to by the amp around tax return time. would like to have it for next years competing. looks like i want be doing much competing this year but oh well.

im hoping for around 145-147 with the 2 t2d415 on a t2500.1bdcp sealed on the dash with the electrical to back it. just need another 10-20 feet of 1/0gauge and the pay for the shipping on my alt and for the regulator. after that its a nice batt for under the hood and one for the back. right now my doors over power my sub a little bit. should have a decent balance once everything is all put together.

Yeah here's an old pic of it. 4 18s, still had a back seat, the RF logo glowed red through the material between the 8"s. This was my rig for sbn in 97. The box was 4.4^3 total after displacement. It sounded freaking awesome. Would play double bass SO hard, but roll off was smooth and subtle. It played very loud down to around 35. All day at sbn I could hear ppl arguin over whether there was really 4 subs back there or if I had a mirror. I had to let a lot of ppl crawl in to have a look. Noone believed I had 4 crammed back there :)

Yes after bracing and sub displacement it was around 2.2 cubes per pair of 18s. I ran all my punch rigs in small boxes.

Big 3 for electrical and do either a ground from amp to front batt or to frame. Then I have a 250 amp alt from mike singer Alts. Not installed right now. Sent back for warranty and I've got to buy an adjustable regulator for it.

In general 12 need about 2 city each and 15 need about 3.5city each. The bigger the sub the more airspace they need. Just a rule of thumb though. It gets so much more complicated then that but I don't even.understand it.

Never checked it but at idle with big 3 a sad excuse of a ground I wouldn't drop below 12.5-13.0 volts. I would go with Mechman if I could go back and do it Again. had oasis with the singer alt because it didn't want to work with the pcm. I've heard from a few people that the Mechman has had better luck with the focus. Didn't know that until after I got my singer alt.
