Scorpion, mongoose exhaust?

Anyone heard if scorpion or mongoose exhaust for the Svt? Mongoose seems to sound pretty good, and it's only like 370 for a cat back. Can't find a good video of the scorpion, but for 370 I'm considering the mongoose. Anyone have it/ know anything about it?

The Mongoose exhaust system is a popular brand that is sold mostly in Europe. As for the Scorpion systems, I know they make one for the ST and RS.

They both make systems for the Svt, but I'm not sure what diameter they are. Doesn't say on the website

Rule of thumb states that if you can't find the adequate information, don't buy it lol. I have heard the Mongoose systems in person before and know for a fact that they have a deep, throaty tone to them. Probably one of the better sounding exhausts for the Focus I have heard. I was talking to the owner of the car while I was in Spain a few years ago and he said he got his from the UK. Of course, the moment I got home from Spain I started to span the internet to find out more information about them. At the time it wouldn't have been cost effective for me to have it shipped from the UK due to it's weight and size but that was back in 2004 lol. Since you're saying that it's only $370 it's not a bad deal at all. Do you have a link for the Mongoose one?

Sweet. I did find the specs, and it's 2.25"...... :/ is that a problem? Or since its mandrel bent will It still flow the same? As long as its not worse, I'm okay with it since and exhaust on the Svt is pretty much a noise mod. I plan on removing the cat eventually, which will help.

I think the stock diameter of the SVT exhaust is just a bit larger than 2.25" but don't hold me to that. But I haven't heard of any aftermarket exhausts designed for the SVT adversely affect the performance, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Most of the aftermarket exhausts just change the sound for the most part. And since that is all you're looking at achieving...then this will work out great for you lol.

Stock is 60mm or 2.36". Shouldn't be a big deal going down to 2.25, with better bends and higher flowing mufflers. Your right. I'm really considering that, or steeda exhaust which is 2.5"

I have the OBX Type-R catback made for the SVT. It's 60mm (2.36") with 1 resonator, 1 muffler, and the canister exhaust. IIRC, it's made of T304 stainless steel & mandrel bent. Flows excellently, can't tell a difference between stock & the Type-R in terms of performance, but damn does it sound good. It's loud just enough to make a presence, yet deep, throaty, and pops a lot when downshifting. And that's with the OEM header and cat too.

The HKS Hi-Power is the exact same exhaust as the OBX Type-R, just rebranded. I got mine for $404 shipped from 2kracing.com Item Number: 14-1501-1R

Thanks man! ^^^
I'm really considering the scorpion catback. Sounds great, and it's only 386 shipped. The stock header is perfectly fine as far as performance goes. Haven't seen anyone running an aftermarket header and notice much of a difference. I've heard the biggest difference is getting an orp. If I buy the scorpion i will probably load up a video so everyone can see
