I am either going to run brake duct lines to my big brake kit or some duct work that will blow cool air across my cosworth iM.
My next step is to use the front passenger side opening to run an oil cooler unit. I thought about fogs but im too far in with this powerr addiction!

Through the years, my feelings about the Saleen Focus have fluctuated a lot. I think the white Saleen here is my favorite, but they need such wider wheels to fill out those flared fenders. I'd love to see a Saleen Focus on some Compomotives or TE-37s; the factory TSW wheels just don't do it justice IMO.

Ever considered AeroCatch pins for your carbon hood?

It's really cool to see three rare cars together. However, the Saleens look really ricey to me. If I hadn't known they were made that way....

Off to do some reading, I don't know much about them except for a funky body kit and some had nitrous.

Ricey....I somewhat agree. The wing is a bit much. They look better in person...imo. Steve Saleen made the attempt to jump on the Fast and Furious bandwagon....and this is what he came up with.

They really are nothing special. ....magnaflow exhaust with only one car, eibach front and rear struts/shocks, eibach front and rear sway bars, saleen upper strut brace, TSW revo wheels, saleen leather seats, saleen body kit....thats about it. Some had nitrous....not hooked up. The only other real option was a big brake (brembo gt) fromt brakes.

Certainly not built for speed, but built to zip in and around traffic. I think I read somewhere that in stock saleen form, they pulled .97g on the skid pad and something close to 75 or 76mph through the slalom.

I like mine, but it certainly needs a few mods.

I own two saleens....and neither is a mustang!

I just read an article about the Saleen Focus. What an odd car. The pricing made these a tough sell I'm sure. MSRP was $26k. I'm interested to see one in person.

oh, i forgot about the subwoofer option. That may have been from Ford. Yeah, $26k for a Focus back in 05 was kind of high....and is still high. But, Saleen is not known for their low prices. I mean, Steve is now trying to sell $85k mustangs. My Saleen F150 stickered for $65k.

As a comparison, isnt the new Shelby Focus close to $50k once you buy an ST, equip it with Ford Sync, add the shelby package, tax, tag, and title?

I didn't know about the Shelby Focus.

Bleh. So it's just an aftermarket parts car. Eibach this, FRPP that. Only 25 more hp. I'm not sure I see the $38k appeal.

Yeah, and that $38k is grossly underestimated.

Keeps it cool when pushing it hard, and good to keep the oil temps in check for the summer.
