I would have liked to see the full color palate made available, at least on a customer order. I would have had to think long and hard about not ordering one in Frosted Glass had it been available, but the silver's pretty good also.

Who needs zoom zoom, when you have turbo boost?

What kind of trade-in value were you guys getting on the 2012 Foci? I just bought one in August (the DCT model), it was the first automatic car I'v ever owned and I can't stand it. I'm really honestly thinking about trading it in for an ST but I'm scared that they won't give me enough.

I've heard some one offered only $10k when they owed 16 or so in New Mexico for an SE sport DCT, but I was seeing a range of 12-15.6k for the SEL, was offered 14k, didn't owe anything for it, so I ate the depreciation and moved on to the ST.

Damn that's low, I'm thinking I'll have to hold off a little longer and go the private party route and then pick up a used ST with similar miles as mine.

I leased this bore.... so I have to wait another 25 months until I'm ready to move on. I thought I was doing the sensible thing by getting a focus, but sensible is just so damn boring.

At least the ST variant would keep me interested.

Given how many were sold, and how big the rebates were it's not that surprising.

Now granted if the car was bought on a/z plan + rebates then the loss is smaller than if it was just someone buying the car at full retail + ttl, etc.

The surprising thing is how much the dealers want to sell used MK3s for, it was nearly as much if not more than a new one, give me a break.

I've seen Focus Ti's listed at 18-19, and SE's from 16k with lower miles for used ones when a new one was barely more if at all.

^^^^THIS

We were looking at a 12 SEL for $17,999 with 28K miles. I decided to look at new and ended up with a 13 SE for $17,500 after rebates and 28 miles.

I guess I'll just have to hope that the STs depreciate as much as the other ones, I don't mind going the used route so. I really only bought a new SE because the new price was about the same as the used price at the time.

The depreciation of your (almost) new car effectively makes the ST considerably more expensive.

The dealer I got my car from has a new leftover 2012 SEL with the 302A package in Blue Candy Metallic, that won't sell. It's down to $18,900.00 currently.

I did see a number of used 2012's priced at the same price.

I have not mentioned a trade yet, I am getting the feeling they may not offer much even though I put a lot down, my equity is not as high as I like.
