Smile STICK FTW Swapped My Ride Now Hopefully I Can Now Enjoy My Ride

2012 brought me a nightmare Titanium with a DCT that just wouldn't behave and was a serious accident waiting to happen. My threads are on here and my journey has been a long and tedious one. 2013 has brought me a 2013 SE Tuxedo Black loaded with the black pack option and for my pain and suffering I added leather and sunroof. I am at square one again but with NO negative equity . Oh I forgot to mention a manual transmission that I can control (manual wasnt available when I purchased my 2012). Yes I lost money, but I consider the past year as a lease per say and I still have to get my windows tinted and exhaust done(had a dual setup that looked and sounded awesome). Pics will be posted as soon as I can.

The 2012 Titanium wasn't offered with a 5MT for quite some time. He had a 2012 Ti. The SE always had the option.

Well yes. Understood that the Ti was never offered with a MTX. So he bought a SE. If he wanted a MTX at first, the SE always had offered it. Just sounds like there were no other options. That is all.

The Titanium offered a manual version ever since the Job 2 2012 builds on or after 3/5/12. It was generally by order only, but that wasn't actually a requirement. Every 2013 Focus is available with a manual as either standard or as an option.

They went with the SE because it meant losing less than trading in a Ti for a Ti in this case at least as far as I could tell. But they got the SE loaded up like the old SEL 303A with the leather seats etc....

Actually I didn't drop down to the SE from the Titanium trim handling package due to anything in regards to the actual deal..(this wasn't a normal trade in, it involved months of arbitration and the end result was favorable).. It was a personal choice as I had problems with the Ti handling package and I can mod this with more superior kits. Also there are more Titaniums than blackpacks around here and personally I like the spoiler and the rims. One thing I was always curious about were the control arms as the handling package came with aluminum. Well mine does :-). Yes I lost some trim details especially my dimming mirror but my main enjoyment is the tunes .

Very nice man, I hope the new car behaves for ya! Nothing feels better than getting rid of a problem... especially when it comes to cars.

A lot of people are lining up to join you, including me. I am not a big fan of the DCT.

I was on this forum for about 10 minutes a year ago and I knew to avoid the DCT and picked up the only 5 speed on the lot and it came equipped just about like we would've ordered it. I think it was dumb luck to find our car.
