350-400 is way way overpriced please don't pay that much. 160-250 is where it should be mine was 200 laser cut all windows and front strip.lifetime warranty and he said he will re tint for the same price as my ticket if I get one because I got limo.

160-200 sounds like they used a basic dyed film, not everyone wants dark windows that don't actually block the heat though, but the higher heat rejecting films cost more money usually.

Idk, haven't really tinted cars before other than the last one, but the difference good film can make vs bad film in a simulated bake off is incredible.

Still need to figure out what I'm doing with the new car, it might be ~450-500 if you do all the windows plus the moon roof (all windows includes the complete front windshield as well), but that's only if you go for their so called best films. Idk. I'm still more concerned about heat rejection and taking a slight edge off the sunlight than going limo dark with low end film.

I'd be looking for ~30% on the side and rear, and 50% on the windshield again.

Not everyone is into the same thing, so if all you care about is dark it can be done cheaper, but as they say in almost anything you have to pay to play.

Lol they don't give you life time warranty on bad tint... It was done at a shop
One of the best around my area been going for 15 years once again 300-400 your over paying but do what you want lolol

Why would some one buy tint that didn't block heat rays sounds pointless

1-36x100 roll can do 4 focuses and you can get them for around. 100$ a roll for good ceramic give or take if your buying in bulk that means your paying him/ her way too much for an hour of work. Just sayin 325 an hour is solid wages for that guy.

Everyone that buys the cheapest films on offer seem to care more about appearance than heat rejection.

Most people just want to look "cool", I've felt the difference and the basic dyed films don't reject much if any heat, where as some of the better metallic or ceramic films do a much better job even at lighter %.

Of course I still can't 100% decide it's worth it or not yet to do the same thing over again as it wasn't 100% fool proof.

Either way it helps to shop around and to know what you are getting.

Around here the cheapest that places offer to do the side and rear windows only use pretty crappy film. It's still easy to "lifetime warranty" any work as long as you leave the caviat about labor charges, proper maintanance, etc.

I'm not too keen on spending hundreds of dollars just for a specific look.

$230 out the door for solar guard at the tint shop near me. 35 on front, 15 on rear. I immediately noticed less glare and less heat coming through. There are a few small bubbles i noticed on the back window but otherwise looks great. if the bubbles don't dissipate in a few days I plan to take it back and have them fix it. Otherwise I can't complain.

It took mine a few days to smooth out, but they should. My back window look bad after it was done and I was tempted to go back as well. A few days later it looked great.

Also, be careful with some of the cheap shops. I have heard there are shops out there that will do tint for $100 for the whole car. You get what you pay for and from what I have heard, a lot of those shops won't even bother cleaning the windows before installing the tint. Just something to be aware of.

I just got mine tinted about a week ago- cost me $160 for all seven windows and a visor on the windshield. For anyone in the Springfield, MO area, Custom Shade is the way to go!
