Rear end problems

So I backed into a pole today, where can I find cheap and maybe already painted stock trunk & rear bumper? Any feedback is much appreciated.

So you're looking at replacing the trunklid and the rear bumper cover... probably going to cheaper to let your insurance cover it... the cost of having them replaced and painted is not going to be cheap. That's nothing mechanical though, so that's good.

You're not going to find that stuff cheap anywhere, especially since you have the expensive rear parking sensors (Do they not work on poles?? LOL)

I think ultimately having your insurance take care of it will be cheaper for you. Most insurance companies raise your premiums right away after making a claim but after a year or so it drops back down.

Insurance is definitely the way to go. From my personal experience...my car was backed into. The front bumper plastic was cracked. It was over $1200 just to have the crack repaired and the bumper repainted. That's without sensors. Good luck.

Oh, that'll buff out...

If you wanted to do it as cheap as possible I'd have to say your best bet is to look for your parts in a junk yard, it would be hard because your mk3 is practically new, but you might luck out and find one that was totaled with the rear end in tact... I doubt it though...

Other than that, either take it to a proper body shop or file a claim...

try to say the pole or tree branch "fell" on your car so it gets covered under the comprehensive part of your insurance so that way your rates will not increase and youll have coverage lol
