New wheels for an SE Focus?

Hey all! I'm new here. I need a little help. I have a 2013 Focus SE without any sort of handing package. Just the standard 16" wheels. I have a set of wheels in mind, but before I pull the trigger, I need to see if they'll work without rubbing and such. The rims are 18x8 and the recommended tire size is 235/40-18. Thanks all! :)

Et is 45 mm and if I'm reading the spacer thread correctly you should be fine. The wheels will stick out 10 mm more than stock 18" wheels.

Your car won't have the limited steering rack so it could rub at full turn

Ah. Thanks so much! If they rub a little, so be it. I don't do a lot of full lock turns, if ever at all. I just want to be able to throw these guys on with the tires they recommend and drive!

If you do a u-turn you will do a full lock and the turning radius of these cars is pretty wide. With 18"s watch the potholes,so many cars shod with 18"s around here have curb rash so that size needs a little extra attention to the road.

Hmm. Okay. I'll be extra careful. Usually I don't have too many issues with potholes. I might just go with the 17" instead!

Take pictures once installed. I would be leaning towards 17's but the 18's look better...decisions decisions.

Same. It's a hard decision. I like the 18's better, but the 17's would be headache free. No rubbing, I would assume

I have the 18" titanium handling package and I think I may go to 17" 215/45R17 when it comes time to change the tires. The ride is a bit rough compared to the non handling package car I test drove earlier this year.

Damn cars. Okay, I'll probably do white 17's. I'd rather do 18's, but I don't want to risk anything. I'll take pictures when I've done it, which might not be until the end of next month :)

this isn't a challenge to find a bad looking car either
