I want to lower my car. What do I need?

Hi everyone,
I want to lower my car an inch or two. Can I just buy some springs, have then installed and call it day? Or do I need to get the full shebang and get the struts, springs, sway bar etc.? I'm not trying to race the damn thing. I just want my car to have a meaner stance on my 17" black machined wheels. Thanks everyone.

You could just get lowering springs but your better off with a full kit. Check fswerks.com or google central florida motorsports

You are much better off with a matching set of shocks and struts to go with your new springs.

The reason for that is your stock stuff isn't meant for increased spring rates that lowering springs have. You can run the upgraded springs wit the stock stuff but you risk blowing them, which would suck if you plan to ever go back to stock.

For the 2012/13 cars ONLY, a number of members have reported reasonable results with springs alone (such as H&R's). It seems the stock shocks on these aren't too bad with 1" lowering springs, and there are few shocks avail. yet.

Time will tell how it works in the long run, not enough time/miles on these to have reports on long term results.

Going lower, or for optimum performance, pay the price & do a full conversion setup with shocks & springs.

2 cents worth from what I've seen reported on these so far...

Cheers!
