Dipped

So I stopped at Lowe's and bought a can of white plastic dip to see what this is all about. I spent the evening doing the black door trim and turned it white. Thought it looked strange at first but it is growing on me. The door handles are the next plasti dip project. Don't think I have enough left in my single can.

Do not dip your doorhandles! You gotta grab those man, plastidip works great for things that you don't have to touch. Oh and grey is right, lose the ricer double-blades for some real wiper blades.

If you really want white door handles, Rockauto.com has smooth paintable ones for under $40 shipped for all 4. Dip is not something you want to touch every day as pyroinsa said.

didn't dip the wipers. bought then that way cause my old ones were.. old. not a fan of the white now that I bought them, but I'm stuck for now. I'll hold off on the handles then. not looking to buy anything at the moment, but wasn't plasti dip designed for tool handles, as something you do touch everyday?

I'd try plastidipping a single door handle and see how it turns out. A lot of people plastidip Xbox controllers for better grip. I don't know why it'd be a poor choice for a door handle.

Those wheels will be challenging to plastidip due to the spokes. Go for it, if you dare. I've done similar wheels and it's difficult to get even texture between the facing spokes and the grooves due to their relative distance from the spray. Worst outcome is you just remove it and start over.

I'd white dip the mirrors for sure.

I might try one handle like you said. when I get around to the rims I'll take them off the car to make it easier. I was planing on doing the roof in black someday and I think the black mirrors would look better then. still don't know what color to go on the rims.

Leave the wheels alone, they are already a good color. If you want to do anything with the wheels, look into aftermarket. Look here for ideas:

Update with pics!

Here's a big update and plenty of pics....

First this happened -

Then I covered these car seats...

With these....

Next up - painted the vents...

Next project was to wrap this hideous door upholstery stuff...

So I did this....

And the finished product on the doors....

Next up I am going to pain the speaker covers black. What do you think?
