Smile Custom NAV Display? (clean logo)

Greetings chaps!
I have a 2012 focus FCL hatchback, great little car! I finished an industrial project inside of her and shes ready for tradeshow, just purring.

To give model and display additional *oomph*, I want to put the company logo on the front touch screen, *without* the nav/time/radio crap appearing ontop of it.

I just want the custom company logo still on that screen, and thats it! Nice and clean. I need to know how this could be done!

So, any help or assistance would be beautiful :) Hope ya'll can help!

Thanks!

G

OS family Windows Embedded
Source model Closed source
Initial release December 4, 1998
Latest stable release 7 / October 19, 2010
License Commercial software
Official website http://www.microsoft.com/windowsembe...evelopers.aspx

This is what I found
You need some genius 'whose eyes glow blue in the dark' to figure this one out.
Even then since it is closed source [means we not giving out any secrets] you will not have much luck.
This is in the league as trying to repair the internal electronics of the car's ECU

The cheapest and quickest way would be to go to an aftermarket stereo w/ touchscreen. There is no way Microsoft is going to let you even get close to changing the source code into allowing it to only display a chosen background. Now if you were to get a developer license and be able to create your own app you could simply do that and launch it from within the actual OS by side-loading it (assuming Microsoft allows you to side-load app into a standard unit and not a special developers unit). But you would need experience with Silverlight/coding in order to even build an app although it would be a relatively simple one. I think the trickier part would be to actually get a developers license but you will pay quite a lot of money in order to do that.

I saw this on Pimp My Ride once...you need two DVD players and a switch!

thanks for reply :)

you would think since '85, microsoft would have opened their code a *tiny* bit? it seems like such a simple thing to want done, nothing major at all?

apparently im wrong.. thanks for taking the time, all-in-all I can get my logo onto the screen, but that pesky radio and heat control and compass BS are ontop of it.. wish there was a feature to just disable that visual and I would be set :)

any advice you may have, throw my way. thanks again

btw, would THIS help? (or is this more hardware end)? Also what is the diff (software manipulation wise) between an mk2 (or whatever its called) and my rig, the FCL? Will the software cross over between the two, as in what solution would work for MK2 will work on my rig, too? ;p
