Exclamation Svt tire 205-40-17?

Ok so I need to replace one of my tires that's on one of the svt five spokes that I have. The short of the long is that they no longer make my tires and have found someone selling the same tire with the different sizing of 205-40-17... Is it worth considering this as a replacement or not? Will this mess with my alignment?

Your going from a 215x45 which has a 24.6''outside diameter to a 205x40 that has a 23.5'' outside diameter. So you drop roughly .05'' & maybe have 75-85 more rpm in a mile. Section width is about the same on a 7'' wheel. I'd pass myself, but thats up to you. Whats your thoughts on buying 2 replacements & using the good as a spare? What kind of tires are these?

I purchased some GT General Exclaims UHPs... I am quite happy with them so wanted to keep them all the same, but something comparable is fine as well. I'm eyeing a BFGoodrich G Super Sport on Craig's List for $30, it's the right specs too.

You definitely do not want to have three 215/45/17s and one 205/40/17

So General discontinued the Exclaims in 215/45x17? Its a fairley new model tire, I wouldn't think they'd drop it. If you just need 1 tire, I'd just get one. Hit up Jilian at Tirerack, he can help you.
