SCT makes the software there not actually in the business to make dynos with hugh # to impress the masses and in my opinion that`s a good thing because not every Focus make the big # but the owners see them and expect to make what they see in the advertised dynos

I will be offering tuning for this very soon

Tom
Tom,

Do you have any insight into what you might be able to offer in your tune?

Is there any chance these tunes will help eliminate the off-idle throttle response lag?

You know, that out-to-lunch period between when I mash the pedal and when the car gets around to pulling out into traffic...or a turn...or off a light...

Cheerz!
Other short answer is that you can fix this problem with a drop-in aftermarket filter...add snorkel delete for roughly 10HP/10Tq...

My bad-

What exactly do you expect him to say? I could be wrong, but I doubt he's had a car on the dyno already for tuning.

Maybe ppl wouldn't be complaining about your tune so much if you guys would've actually treated us like you cared and kept us informed and the only reason this showed up now is cause injected put up a post showing all the work they are doing, you guys just managed to piss to many of us off with the games.

Good point. Ref: turning on/off nanny programs, eco tune v. power tune, gear ratios.

I ask because of Tom's extensive knowledge in tuning. I would figure he might have an idea, sans the actual car on dyno, of what might be capable.

More of an exploratory question in nature, not trying to pin him down.

Ok guys, lets try and keep this on track.

Kyle, if you were following the Mk3 threads you would be aware of the frustration that Dillon is speaking of. It is pertinent to the thread for Mk3 owners, as some will feel this way.

Again, lets all keep this civil please.

You had no reason/right to delete my post pointing out that _RED_ had stated they had been working on tuning on his car for a while. I have been following MK3 tuning for a year + and have been emailing with SCT for over a year as well. The main reason I didn't buy a 2012 a while ago was the lack of tuning.

What everyone needs to remember is you will be able to order your tune from your favorite tuner of choice. They may / most likely will have better numbers since they will spend more time on the tune. The one in SCT dyno graph is just proof of concept that tuning could be done.
