I agree, I ran my first drag a month ago and was like, this is it? ...maybe cause i drag from 80% of green lights, and i was barely under 17 second 1/4 mile time. you see real skill at places like nurburgring, watch the zr1 take those turns and you'll be impressed with the skill it takes.

most of you dont like dragracing cause you guys make bo-bo numbers lol, when you actually make power its fun and is hard to get everything right. settting the launch hitting the gears etc, i agree not as challenging as a road coarse to a certain extent.

I agree. When my Focus ran mid 16s in stock form, I didn't want to race it cause I felt slow. When I ran mid 13s on street tires, I wanted to get slicks so I could really see its potential. Now that I've broken 12s, I want more power so I can see the slicks' potential. lol It's gets addictive and more you accomplish, the further you get, the milestones you pass, the more addictive it gets.

I could'nt agree more. "bo-bo numbers" lmao, there is deffinitly alot more skill then alot of people make it seem... if you disagree you obvisily have not been to the dragstrip, or enough to figure that out.

Exactly im sure it would be boring a hell to run a 16sec run lol, and plus the car is stock so it takes almost no skill to drive it. add some power to the equation and how to get it to the ground without spinning or bogging is tricky.

Several 1.7-1.9 60ft times here without spin and no axle issues yet. (knocks on wood)

I'm also using 24.5x8 on stock wagon 15" wheels and spacers. Depending on the track, I will boil them. At Capitol dragway on a test and tune night in October, I had them set to 8psi and was doing a smokey burnout and would still spin them through 1st gear (still got a 1.95 60 though). At Maryland International Raceway (the track in the picture with me launching) they are an IHRA sponsored track and that launching pad is like glue! I had them at 10psi and was hooking all day. My new setup is going to be skinny 3.5" tires for the back and American Racing Outlaw 2 15x10 for the front with 26x10.5 slicks tucked under fender flares. I will be on coilovers by then though so I'll be able to balance it out right.
