LED Headlamp bulbs? (not HID)

With some manufacturers offering LED (in lieu of HID) projector style headlamp bulbs(new 2013 Honda Accord comes to mind), does anyone have experience of LED headlamps?
A website in FL is offering kits: http://www.light-pros.com/22-watt-led-headlight-kit/ which have 5 positive reviews although one reads "........Sadly this product does not do so good in projector type headlights. HOWEVER is EXCELLENT! IN regular headlight housings".
I'm currently using Sylvania ZXE but have been disappointed in the "whiteness".
I would be interested in opinions.

Yup, I've heard of the 22w bulbs. Not sure what would be needed in terms of resistors or something.

I'd shoot the owner of this place an email or FB message, I've talked to him quite a few times.

Ooh. Me likey too. Audi R8 has been all led headlamps since their release. Ya and the new Accord and Toyota Avalon. You'd still need resistors right? But hey, to get a taste put them in your foglights and try them that way.

Oh one thing, it says only 1,200 lumens. That's not going to be very bright.

yeah you'll need larger resistors since they're 22w.

Yup. Compared to H.I.D. ballasts and bulbs, total price and output, they are still the best for automotive applications. The fact that I can buy an H11 slim ballast H.I.D WITH bulbs for $37 CDN shipped, I'll stick with them (for fog lights atm).

I remember reading a review of the new Lincoln MKX that had LED headlights. Looked great but the output was poor. This is the 'technology not there yet for price'. Take an example of CFL bulbs. Very good light output compared to halogens and a lot less wattage. Take current LED light bulbs: SUPER expensive, nice colour but not great coverage and light output isn't that great and in most applications, only using a few less watts.

So if the 22w LED bulbs only have approx 1,200 lumens, a 35w H.I.D. has around 3,200 lumens. Hmmmmmm

Personally, I'm waiting for the next light emitting technology to come out :P

So I went ahead and bit the bullet on these, 114.95 after shipping. Got them from the link thejordan posted. They have a 15% off sale going on until the 30th of April, so they came out to 102 before shipping. I know I'll most likely need resistors to get them to function correctly in the headlights, but I wanted to try them see what they look like then I'll worry about resistors. Worst case scenario I'll shove them in my fog lights since I was already looking for an LED solution for those anyway. Will update with info and possibly pictures when I get them.
