I think its for the purpose of showing the body lines, but yeah, copper/brown isnt a good choice. I would like to see it in black, grey or a blue color.

I was thinking of the same reason.

Honestly though. think how nice this would be as a two door coupe or 3 door hatch with like a 1.8 or 1.6 ecoboost. It would be a viable option for the scion tC market anyway. Possibly even the BRZ/FR-S with the exception of being fwd.

It even looks like the very last Escorts lol. If you were far enough away from this Escort to the late 90's version and both were in the same color one probably could not tell them apart.

This will be Ford's budget C segment vehicle for Tier 2 cities in China.
I believe it (Escort) is built on the MK2 previous Euro Focus) platform)

Not bad looking to me. Kinda reminds me of the Dart. The Escort name wont help sales if it came over here.

My only question is why?

Why not just take away some of the expensive features from the Focus and call it a day instead of dumping all the money into making a whole new car that is all but the same thing. It doesn't make any sense to me, but I guess I don't live in China either.

Purty little car, even if it's a tad bland. I kinda understand the reasoning behind this, China is a strange car market and Ford is really pushing to increase sales there. I see no chance of this being offered outside of the Chinese market though.

The thing I wonder about is the name, I'm betting that China has had very little exposure to the Escort name and will thus be unfamiliar with it, so there will be no benefit in resurrecting it. And it would likely be hurtful other markets, as many have sour opinions of the old Escort.

Oh well. As long as it allows Ford to be more profitable, I'm all for it.

F it,if the Chinese don't want it,bring it over here. I'm sure there'll be a few takers. Maybe this is what the Fiesta sedan SHOULD'VE LOOK LIKE.
