Manual transmission filler plug location

I wish to change the transmission oil. My 2005 Manual transmission appears to have a drain plug (8mm) but no filler plug.
The tranny is the standard 5 speed with the 2 Liter engine.
Any idea how you fill it? I have checked other threads but cannot find an answer.

Not sure if you have the MTX75 but mine was on the side of the transmission that faces the front of the car. Very easy to find from underneath. As can be seen in the picture (not mine, from another site) it takes an 8MM hex key.

The filler plug is at the front of the transmission. I can take a picture if you need it.

My tranny has the plug as shown in the photo but I assumed this was the drain. I checked the front of the tranny and I cannot see a drain plug.

I do not know the tranny model but it is the standard 5 speed with the 2 Liter engine.

^ It is an MTX-75 transmission. The drain plug is located in the back in a very narrow inspection hole in front of the torque restrictor/dog bone thing.

You can find all the information you need here:

I recommend using motor-craft tranny fuild, I tried some valvoline for a while and it sucked... At $16 a quart I think its an acceptable price since you only need 2...

I used a squeeze bottle which I kept refilling until the trans was full up to the plug. I recommend putting jackstands on all 4 wheels to keep the car level. If you only jack up the front you risk overfilling it which could lead to leaky axle seals or a whole assortment of bad juju.
