2013 Focus SE 200a daytime running fog lights installation

Has anyone with a 2013 Ford Focus with a 200a package (or anyone else who knows) purchased these (see link at bottom) or similar daytime running fog lights?

If so, please see the following questions:

1. How do or did you connect them?
2. Is it necessary to enable anything in IDS to get them to work?

I ask the first question since they need to operate during the day and not at night (but it would be great if you could turn them on and off whenever you want).

The second question is asked since the fog lights (not shown in the link below) which exist in the 201A and Titanium models are enabled in the BCM using IDS based on the VIN number of the car which tells the BCM that it is a 201A and it has fog lights. The 200a does not have fog lights (even though there exists holes for them and a fuse exists for them in BCM) enabled in the BCM. While the fog lights (standard on 201a and Titanium) are used at night and in foggy conditions, you may not want to connect to their circuitry with these "running lights" (see below link) since you want them to separately be on during the day without using the fog lights.

Any input that would allow hooking up to them without drilling holes in the firewall and adding aftermarket switches to the interior would be greatly appreciated. I believe they could operate constantly in the daytime through some circuitry that is on in the day and off at night possibly by adding a relay that comes on when the regular running lights are turned off and switched on when the regular lights are turned off. But, it would be great to be able to enable them at night when desired.

Here is the link to the lights on eBay:

Jim,

I recently purchased these form partscheap.com and installed them on my focus. I had the same doubts as you, so I contacted them and they sent me the install instruction. It's really an easy job, nothing you can't do yourself. Though, I would confirm that these are exactly the same as the ones partcheap offers, because they do look different.

Here's the link for the instructions.

Hey guszetec85,
Thank you for your prompt response. I think in your case you might not have a problem (if you installed in a 2012 Focus SEL since yours came with Fog lights. Did you connect to the fog light circuitry? There is no fog light circuitry or fog lights in the 2013 SE 200a model. There are fog lights in the 2013 201A and Titanium, but, I don't have them in the 200a. Appears to be no way of contacting them through ebay.

That's true, there's nothing cheap about 'em.

Jim, I honestly don't understand which pins of the harness control headlights /fogs, etc. I just followed instructions and connected them to Pin #12, maybe there's another pin to which you might directly connect them, but I really have no idea, sorry.

@guszetec85: That's pretty cool. That might work on mine as well if the BCM for 2013 200a is the same as 2012 SEL. I see that this kit comes with a relay. I'm guessing that by using Pin #12 that you only use them during the day. I'm looking for info on that pin. Don't know when it comes on or off. I was noticing on the partscheap.com website that it said that when the headlights are off they are 100% illuminated and when the headlights are on that they dim 50% which would be perfect if these (the ebay site's) lights work the same way. Still wondering how one pin can control the dimming when the lights are on.

They are always on, the only difference is, as the partcheap page mentions it is when lights are completely off, they are 100% illuminated, when you turn them on they dim to around 50%. Hope you can find a solution, or why not trying to contact someone at partcheap so they can get a hold of someone at Ford and let you know how you could connect them. I'm sending you my contact info:
