ILS Switch 2001 ZTS

Question re ILS fuel cutoff switch located just forward of front passenger door.

Mine's covered with a rubber boot...question is how should the switch feel?
Mine feels spring loaded, you push it down and it comes back up, no click, doesn't stay down.

Lots of posts say to reset or press the switch but it doesn't mention what should happen. Want to ensure it's a push contact type switch that resets when pushed but is suppose to pop back up...and not say go down and stay down..

thanks, lots of good info on here...I can stop looking for the non-existent schrader valve....:(

Had to go "feel" mine to give a response, never tried it before...

"Boot" was recessed a bit, not domed. Very faint click when depressed, didn't push far at all & came back up to where it was before I pressed down.

Hope that helps!

BTW - you can pull the panel, pull the switch connector & "jump" the two wires for a test if you have a "no-spark" situation you are trying to diagnose. When "set" the switch completes the circuit. Multimeter set on "ohms" should show almost no resistance when testing the switch for continuity with it "set" and disconnected from the circuit.
