Lol no I don't have Facebook. That coincidence is very strange however. Anywho I did some more work today and took lots of pictures.

I wanted to black out my side markers and DRLs.

And then I got tired of my hazy headlights and put some tire shine on them and now they are clear. Temporary fix I know but it is so much better

That's all for today. Oh I changed the oil yesterday cuz the PO let it go 2k miles over.

Hey Brichter,

That's a nice Zx5 SVT. Here is a great headlight restoration write-up. Check it out.

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...lant-idea.html

I haven't try it myself yet for lack of time but I will in the future. I ended up replacing both my mach's with depo one's, I covered them with laminix to extend the life of the headlight. Here is a link to them

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

By the way I also own an 04 black ZX5 SVT. Also you should look into getting Tom's tune for the focus, just look it up on search to see what I'm talking about...Anyway I hope you find the information useful

I'm thinking about doing 600k in highs/lows/fogs

On a different note. Is there a difference between a stock focus and an Svt's starter?
please dont get those headlights. believe it or not, the lights u have now, even in the current shape, are still better than those ebay crap lights with hid. i had a similar setup years ago before i got my machs and let me tell u, these machs are amazing when u get them right. if u have access to a electric polisher, i would strongly recommend that. i dont think i would have gotten the results i did without mine when i polished my machs. after sanding them down, use the meguiars plastx with the polisher and they will shine. also, get some protectant after u polish em or else they will go right back to being hazy and yellow.

edit: also, those bulbs look extremely blue. the higher in color u go with bulbs, the crappier the output of light.

If you can find it. There is a level 11 and 10 Meguiar's Plastic restore. It's a professional grade and is what I used after sanding my headlights long ago.

Your haze is because you didn't finish with plastic restore. Looks to have an even haze, so, you are only one step away from great looking headlights.

Find the Plastic Restore from your local car parts store and I am pretty sure your headlights will be clear. Nice set of rides by the way. And I like your boat.

Town in between Decatur and Mattoon named Sullivan.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Question. Is it doable to change the halogen highs and fogs to HID? I did is in my f150 and it makes a great difference. I live in deer country right by the lake.

Problem solved!

Made the urethane/ mineral spirit concoction. 28 bucks but very worth it.

That's a photo I stole from the link that was posted above.

Here is the finished product!
