Those kind of look similar to the replicacobra r wheels for the thunderbird, which did use a 5x108 mm bolt pattern, but the center bore is probably larger, and the offsets are outside the recommended range for FWD applications. It could still theoretically work, and some people had installed them on the older Taurus models, but I'd still be cautious about falling in love with them from a description and pictures.

Those were 17x9 wheels, not sure if these were smaller, they might be the ones off of the sport package 98-99 Taurus as well, but neither of those match exactly, hrm, maybe its just polished wheels off of a Taurus or sable if its the right pattern which should be almost ok.

Very true. If they fit and I do like them, black with a red pinstripe is the first thing I'm doing before they even go on

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but if the center bores are larger, this is a very dangerous thing, because they'll go on the hubs, but they won't provide the mechanical connection that hub-centric wheels are designed to have. So if the bores are too big, don't take them.

That's the best advice I can give, and I am about 85 percent certain that it's good advice.

That can be an issue, the 5 bolt pattern sort of helps to keep the wheel self centered, but if the center bore is too large or too small it can be a problem. Too small is even worse as the wheels won't fit on properly at all, too large and if its not centered on the lug studs before being torqued down it can cause issues, etc.

I actually have heard that and am also taking it into consideration. Safety is obviously one of the main things but they do look like they wheels that suss6052 put up. So there is a pretty good chance :)

With all these questions and not being sure I'd pass and look for better wheels. Check out the wheels thread sticky with compatible wheels for the MK3.

You can get rings if the center bore is too large, not a huge deal.

The Thunderbird hubs are the same size as the Focus, I have a set of Cougar wheels (same thing as the T-Bird) that work well (winter set).

You realize that they make hub centric rings to make the bigger bore fit smaller wheels right... Half of the wheels on Tirerack come with them...

This is all way to sketchy for me. I say pass. Find some used wheels from your make/model or something that the seller actually knows what they are selling. My $.02
