How to improve 2006 ZXW

I have a 2006 ZXW that is entirely stock with 50k miles on it. I was wondering what is available, in terms of easy mods, to increase horsepower and handling?

Also I have a squeaky undercarriage, is this a normal issue with the Focus?

Thanks for the help.

Well the motor is a 2.0l duratec. Easy mods would be new intake and flex-pipe back exhaust. After that, look at replacing the header and tuning.

The suspension will be a little more tricky as the rear suspension offerings for the wagon are few (different rear suspension than other models.) How are your tires? One of the best and most important handling items are a good set of tires. That and just making sure every thing else on the car is working properly.

I know these guys carry wagon specific parts, could be worth checking out http://www.batinc.net/focus.htm

Can you narrow down where the squeak is coming from on the undercarriage? Front, rear, driver/passenger side. Several different things can cause that from worn out endlinks, non-greased bushings to other worn out items

Intake and exhaust are good to consider, sway bars and shocks/struts with lowering springs will help handling.Where is the squeaking coming from?

Moved to "DURATEC Performance" for your performance modification questions. As for your suspension questions, I would like to refer you to the Wheels, Tires, Brakes & Suspension section of our forum.
