Sprung Window Trim

Greetings,

Yesterday I went food shopping. When I got back to the car, the driver’s door lower window trim was bent away from the door as shown in the pic below. Can someone tell me how to remove this trim so I can straighten and reinstall it? I can’t find any information about how to do this in my “TIS” workshop manual.

Well, I intended to post a pic of the sprung window trim but every time i try to upload it to photobucket the upload fails. I read in "Member FAQ's & How-To Information Archive" the following:

"If you want to upload a photo without having to go to any of those sites then you can use our nifty 'ADD ATTACHMENT' to attach a photo to your post. It is located in the POST REPLY (not QUICK REPLY) and under ADDITIONAL OPTIONS section.

There is also another button under both QUICK REPLY & POST REPLY that you can insert the image url directly. It is a square that looks like it has a mountain in it. Click that and you should be able to add a link to your image"

However I see no " ADD ATTACHMENT" in "ADDITIONAL OPTIONS"

So I'll explain as best I can. The thing that is bent is the extension of the outside rubber strip that's attached to the door along the bottom of the window opening. This extension goes past the rear of the window and onto the door pillar where there seems to be a slot for some kind of hook that protrudes out from the back of the rubber strip.

Any help will be appreciated

You can just pull straight up and away from the mirror, it will come out. Then carefully bend it back into position and re-install

The best way to post pics on here is to upload your picture to an image hosting site and post the [img] tag in your post
