Interior Painting question???

So im planning on Spray painting the grey part of my dash on my 2011 ses, just getting tired of the old boring color so i want it to match the rest of the interior which is BLACK. So I got a couple cans of spray paint that seemed like it will do the job just right. Picked up two cans of Krylon spray paint one being a paint & primer the other being a clear glaze if I dont get the right shine I want. Also got 1000 grit sand paper. Has anyone had any problems or success with the dual paint and primer? I need insight please, Ive looked everywhere and no one has any how-to's on 2nd gen focuses.

Duli-color available at most autoparts stores is great. Leaves a great shine, and you can't tell it's been rattle canned. Get dupi-color clear too.

For best results, sand down the piece first, then primer it.

Add your coats of color two or three should be fine then do your clear.

Here is my mirror caps I did last year.

^^ Sick man. I got something called clear glaze (Also krylon) think that'll do justice with the shine? But im doing my interior dash though so i dont want too much shine while im driving. I just need some good stuff that wont possibly crack in the summer heat you know. Are you saying Krylon is not good?

No kyon in fine. but dupli-color is factory matched paint for automotive use. It would hold up better and not fade.

Being you are doing interior, it won't be as exposed to the elements. As anything on the outside of the car.

If it needs it. I didn't wet sand those caps. I mean it probably wouldn't hurt, but if it comes out smooth and flawless I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm also thinking about painting some of my interior panels, but I've never really painted with rattle cans before, any tips you guys can pass along?
