Cigarette Lighter cleaning

Hello,

I decided that I needed to clean the inside of the cigarette lighter in my car and I used WD-40. Then I realized that WD-40 is flammable. I then cleaned the cigarette lighter with rubbing alcohol because I read that it can be used to clean WD-40.

Am I in danger of starting a fire in my car? Or should the WD-40 be cleaned off now because I used rubbing alcohol to clean it off? I'd like to not start a fire in my car if possible and am quite worried about it.

Thanks

WD40 is a conductor. It could catch fire. Diluted it's relatively safe. IMHO it's safe after cleaning off.

I would let it sit for awhile (Few hours at least) then wipe it all down with a very absorbent towel just to be sure
