Junkyard treasures. (What have you found)

So I've been to a couple of junkyards in my area and they all have a few different Mercury cougars or zx2s I have pulled a few things here and there from each (speedo stuff and zetec engine stuff) but in my junking I've found that they both have very nice looking front seats. Everyone I get into has mint condition seats that are very comfortable and very functional feint seats. I've really been contemplating getting new seats for my 01 as the stupid flip Hale has broken on both of my fronts. I'm curious if anyone has pulled a seat from a zx2 or cougar and tried putting into their focus our has successfully tried it. help would be great. If no one has I guess I'll be the first to try. They only want $50 a piece. So maybe in a couple weeks I'll go and buy one and try it. Any thoughts?

Try the cougar seats on your frame.

I will the next time I'm at a junk yard. What I'm probably going to do instead of purchasing them and then trying is pull one from a cougar and pull a junk seat out of a focus at the junkyard and try it there. That way I don't waste money or time. Lol. Cause they won't let me do it at the yard in the parking lot.

These are the ones I was thinking about doing although if I can find them in black leather w/o the mercury logo I'll do those but they want $75 or $100 for the leather ones.

That'd work. I always enjoy going to wrecking yards.

What I'm excited about if it works is the handle to flip the seats forwards is built into the side. You can't see it in the picture above but this picture shows it better. These would be prefect for me ( I'm doing all black with a little blue accents) But I've never seen the black and blue ones in fabric.

Nah that's a Google search picture but you can also see the speedometer just barely and I'm working on mine to look just like it. I love junking! I always nab a bunch of awesome Sh**t!

I grabbed these a couple months ago but haven't done anything but scanned them into photoshop and started messing around with them.

But I also did this to my speedometer from a base model cougar.

Just required a little dremmeling and some patience. And just a tiny amount of cash.

Question for you Felix. How do I change the name of this thread? I don't wanna get yelled at for going off topic in my own thread lol.
