No, used kits can be picked up anywhere from $800-$1500 on average. If you find one that has never been installed you can pay a higher price on it. But finding one that has never been installed is going to be hard to do unless someone bought one a few years ago, stashed it away in their garage and completely forgot about it and then just recently discovered it.

Damn that's a nice Focus!!! If you don't keep it, you should have no problem selling it as a whole for $6,000

Very nice! I'd pay $6k for it . FWIW there's a ported and polished SVT JRSC with BBK in the Buy-Sell-Trade forum for $2500 right now.

You know you could still let your son just have it.. if the power is a concern just remember that 220(ish) HP is not a lot these days. He'd still be slower than anyone with a modern 6 cylinder. As long as you make sure he respects driving and the car he'll be eternally grateful. I know when I was 16 I had a beater car and treated like a beater car (not well!), and if I had something nice I would have taken great care of it.

Just as I had suspected that it was a Jackson Racing supercharger. The sticker is a CARB exempt label more or less. Only reason you would need that sticker was during car inspections showing that the supercharger was approved by California Air Restrictions Board(CARB). The strut tower brace and header look to be made by Focus Sport. The transmission mount looks like the VF engineering one since it doesn't have the bolt on the top part of it. You have to use a 27MM socket on the top part of that mount to tighten it down. I only know this because I have one of those mounts myself lol.

Thanks guys for the input!
How much is involved returning it to stock, besides the obvious... Removing supercharger and CAI... Will I need to reflash it back to stock someway? What about the stock throttle body?
I know I would need to find a stock air box assembly.

Wow, you've stumbled across a nice clean hot hatch. Keep it for yourself if you don't want your son driving it. But I don't see the problem. The average V6 family sedan is just as quick. Or sell it for what I'm sure will be a decent profit. If the previous owner didn't know about its modifications, I can't imagine you paid more than what people are offering here ($6K+)
