i have replaced the engine cooling fan relay level 1 which is relay number 16 under the hood and still no good. I didn't think i needed to do level 2 because it has (a/c) next to it and the ac on the car doesn't work at all. Air controls 1-3 let me put a/c on but nothing blows when i set it to full it blows but doesn't let me turn a/c on. I have connected the engine cooling fan to a main power source and it turns on so i know the fan motor is working.

could i be looking into the wrong thing i have a digital multimeter and i get a beep on the connections to the fans and the fans themselves. When im measuring the cooling fan resistor (i think its called that) the thing between both fans in the shroud i get no beep to the cooling fan resistor or its connector. Could that be the problem or am i measuring it wrong with the multimeter. I do this all with the car turned off

Hey , had similar problem on mine . Check the plug in connector on the radiator/fan shroud . Ya` couldn`t see it was bad , but when I unplugged it , it was a melted crispy mess inside ! Went to 2 local junk yards and this seems to be a common problem . Checked 5 cars and all were toasted . Finally figured out you can use another plug in , think it`s for the AC . That`s solved my overheat problem for 2 years now . peace

Bad resistor is common as well, no "beep" would sure point that way....

Luck!
