Yellow rev counter? How Ferrari-esque.

I'd be interested in a custom tach, depending on pricing, ease of install, etc. A sporty, red, illuminated tach would be pretty sweet. I wonder if we could get them with the redline at different places, given tuning seems to be around the corner and I imagine some of us may wind up with custom rev-limits.

I know I replied already but I'll say it again here to keep everything in one place;

Given the intricacy and details he'd need a full cluster in person, not just for the design but to see how it all fits together.

That could work, I imagine the price should be good compared to new as well. Please let us know.

To all:

Provided this works, ultimately your imagination would be the limit for colours, fonts, and other features. For now though Adam wishes to stick with one design for experimentation to keep costs down and that would be along the lines of a coloured tach and a single font among the clusters made.

If all works out down the road custom requests could be submitted as they can be now with Miatas.

Actually, looking closely...Deftmetal, is the tach's faceplate separate from the others? It looks like the backings are three separate pieces for the tach, speedo, and central gauges. It could be a matter of just swapping one piece, which would greatly reduce cost.

There is the issue of all the translucent icons for the warnings lights, but hopefully Adam could scan this and get them exactly reproduced.

Can I have his contact info for shipping and that? I may go back and get the gauge cluster (had screen/bezel too) on Saturday if it's still there
Or I can just PM you about it and you can pass it on

Added to the first post:

More info from Adam about the group buy:
-Five orders maximum. So far I am in, meaning we can have up to four more. This is to allow fitting in a small run of Focus gauges alongside his regularly-produced Miata pieces, which keep him busy.
-All gauges in the set would be identical. They would be full replacements, with a yellow tach and a new design by Adam.
-Expected cost should be around $200 USD for each set. These are high quality gauges and are filled with detail.
