Parking light wire

I have a 2012 SEL and I need some help finding the parking light wire under the dash. I have an aftermarket headunit installed and there is no support from Metra in the FRST-2 for illumination. I need to tap into the parking light wire to send a signal to the headunit to dim the display. I have tried a couple of wires in a bundle in the lower left side of the footwell area by the kick panel based off of older model year information with no luck.

I tried a solid grey wire and a black and violet striped wire with no luck.

I have easy access to the footwell light wires as well if anyone has any information on how well that might work.

Any suggestions?

No one has any ideas or access to wiring diagrams?

I'm pretty sure the parking light wire doesn't exist under the dash, but from the module under the hood. Control of lights is digital, so the switch isn't a switch, really, it's a control module sending digital information to the computers.

I would prefer not to run a wire through the firewall if possible, but I guess I could tap into a signal from under the hood if I need to.

What about the foot well lights? Does anyone know which of the 3 wires is powered when the lights are on? I would prefer not to have to guess and check.
