If you want a custom tune, Tom will hook you up. As mentioned, this is just a octane based canned tune.

Have there been any statements as to why not?

My DCT has always performed quite well except for 1 bad shift whenever the car was cold.

That first shift from 1-2 was a flared shift with definite slippage. After that first shift the DCT performed rather well.
My car has done this ever since I bought it used approx 7 months ago.

After installing the Injected 91 tune, this has completely been eliminated.

The driveability, low end torque, throttle response and fun to drive factor have all been greatly enhanced. It is now an absolute pleasure to drive.

Although I wouldn't consider this a fast car, it is definitely not slow and more than competitive with any other car in its class. For a compact fuel miser, very impressive.

Whether this tune is 2-3 hp more or less, a tenth or 2 faster or slower than the competition really does not matter to me. I didn't buy this car for quarter mile.

What matters most to me is the way it drives day in and day out on the street and I have absolutely no regrets in that regard.

Thank you very much Injected for making my car a joy to drive, for your customer service and support, and for stepping up to the plate to tune our cars.

Are there any specific reasons why people would choose a canned tune over a custom tune?

Finally got to go to the track it was super sticky.

Best run was a 15.55 @91 riding the limiter in 3rd
Best stock run was 15.99 @88.

Just the added RPMs in the tune alone made a big difference.

Agreed, so why would someone choose a canned tune? I would think a custom tune would be the way to go. I know with tuning motorcycles, custom tunes were almost exclusively the way people go, at least when I had mine.

I would second this... I would like to think so. Also we all have different exhaust systems..

The scenario: One person has a steeda cai and a magnaflow exhaust...
Person 2 has a K&N snorkel delete and a fswerks
person 3 has a injen cai and a custom exhaust...

All different setups, achieving different outcomes... Custom wins over a canned in that situation anyway right?

Well guys, this is the Injected tuning solution thread. So lets not get everyone off topic or put down Injected's hard work. The thread you want is right here; http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324935
