In all honesty it was more fun to drive than any newer ford product i've had
(and the 07 civic i still have)
I had a 1989 Mercury Tracer, and that car was solid. Got an offer I couldn't refuse while I was filling her up at the gas station...a father wanted it for his daughter...my 1995 Ford Escort couldn't be destroyed, either.

While my list of cars that I've purchased so far is only: 2012 Ford Focus

My family (2 parents, 5 kids) drive:
Mom - 2002 Escape (4x4, V6)
Dad - 2003 Focus ZX5
Bro #1 - 1988 Mustang 5.0 & 2001 Escape
Bro #2 - 1994 Escort & 2004 Mustang 40th Anniversary Edition
Sister - 2007 Escape
Bro #3 - 2002 Mustang Convertible

Sooo... yeah. I could see this article holding some water.

I'm a Ford-loyalty contributor also.

Past vehicles:

'85 Escort
'83 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe
'94 Probe GT
'95 Probe GT
'95 Bronco

Current Vehicles:

'67 Bronco
'01 Focus ZX3
'00 Jeep Cherokee (OOPS! slipped up on that one!)
'12 Focus SE

Hey, if Ford still built a good off-roader, I would buy it rather than a Jeep.

Never been brand loyal but Toyotas have treated me quite well in my life but Ford does make some sweet car as does most brands so I like to be able to pick and choose what suits my taste and not limited to a brand as you can tell from my current stable. The Focus tho' is my first Ford and US brand car I've owned in 20 years.

My dad owned a '69 CJ 428 Mustang and a '71 Mach1 then dropped a 298 into a Pinto body that ran 11s so that was my Ford experiences growing up. Ford in the last decade finally started making some interesting quick cars including the mustang which had some woefully slow models during the '90s and was the Camaros whipping boy back then but right now IMO the Mustang is having the latest laugh;the GT is just downright mean even in base trim.
