Any way to prevent SYNC from auto-playing upon BT connection?

I have a new Ford Focus with basic SYNC system and there’s one thing that really annoys me – every time the system connects with my phone (Samsung Note 2) it starts playing music. The system basically sends the Phone a “Play” command without me asking for it. I know that SYNC is to blame and not the phone, because I uninstalled (or froze, for those familiar with TI Backup) each media player on the device, and the problem just happens with the next media player or streaming app available.

Now, I do actually want to have such applications on my phone, so uninstalling all of them is not an option. Is there a way to stop SYNC from auto-playing music for me? I really prefer to do it manually.

Thanks in advance!

I have the same set up as u (phone and car) and music never automatically plays. I use Google Music or Pandora mainly. If bluetooth is already on prior to getting in car then it automatically connects no problem. If bluetooth is off before entering car and I then turn it off on my phone then I have to push Phone in my car for it to connect. But neither way does it automatically play music... sorry I know I don't help lol

Thanks for replying Netzer. You're lucky, as this issue has been reported elsewhere on the internet, but no solution was found. Perhaps it's a different version of SYNC that we're using....
