So, you traded in a first year model car that had problems for ANOTHER first year model car that has problems, and from Fiat no less....that makes sense. Good luck with that, and you thought Ford's depreciated...

I'll be rid of this junky Focus in a week or so when my new car comes in :).

Got $15,060 for my Focus SEL with 21K miles, which I was more than happy with considering I can get a brand new Focus 2013 Titanium right now for $19561. Anyways taking a loss of $5800 for the 21 some months I owned it.
I will look at it as a $276/mo lease :D

Got myself a Dodge Dart 2013 Limited with:
Led Racetracks
Premium Group
Sirius Satellite
Technology Group
Uconnect 8.4 w/ Navigation

$21,421 for the Dart TTT OTD before trade in.
-$15,060 Trade in
+$3,117 Car payoff
--------------------------------------------
$9,478 financed at 0.74% for 48 months :)
$200.46 monthly payments, total interest $143.84 paid in 4 years W00t W00t!

Moved to Ford Focus and general car chat.

Carry on with the discussion about why it was a good idea to jump from one first year model to the next. Thanks.

I think that anyone who doesn't like their Focus for whatever reason (real or imagined) should absolutely drive something else. Life is short.

As for getting $15K for an SEL with 21K miles, yeah, I'd be happy too.

not yet, issues with the focus (or most cars for that matter) didn't start showing up until more are sold and more user information is compiled.

just fyi i've owned a uconnect 8.4nav for 15 months and like i said it is 100x better than the mft with 0 glitches to date.
i had many fewer and less troublesome issues with the myford touch in my focus than others. Just because you aren't having issues doesn't mean other aren't or you won't.
and no the problems with the focus weren't just isolated to the mft, though that was my biggest gripe.
you didn't mention in your op if you got the manual or the auto trans. I'm sure you're aware the dart has a dct with documented issues, right?

good luck with your fastly depreciating car.
all cars in this class depreciate more than mid and full size cars, the dart will be no different.

all i know is i had 15k miles left on my focus' warranty. The first 21k had been plagued with problems, multiple service visits, repeat recurrences, time, money, gas, and frustration spent. Not worth it. Oh not to mention rental charge for a courtesy (as in free) car, while my focus was being serviced, sent to collections under my name... Even though the rental department operated right out of the dealership. Got a letter stating they couldn't contact the payor (dealer) so it stated i as the renter was ultimately responsible. Funny huh?
not really.

Anyone here ever looked into what it costs to tune a Dodge? You want something funny, look up "Starscan" tool. That's what's required to program new Dodge vehicles, and some ChryCo cars made since 04.

Who thinks SCT scanners are expensive? Look into Starscan, that's all I can say.

Neons: with as many years as that car was sold, you'd think there might be more still on the road. I haven't seen one of those SRT Neons in a long time- where'd they all go?
