you are almost correct on the tails, the clear just did not want to stick for some reason. it's on there now but I'm going to be sanding them back down and re clearing them. I got tired of messing with them for the moment but I'll redo them this week and get them to shine.

Well I have used the VHT and a tint made by Rustoleum "lense tint". The Rustoleum is 10 times better, more shinny straight out of the can, just a little wet sanding on the rustoleum and buffing and it looks perfect, no clear needed.
