I just got my new 2005 Focus ZX4 ST, and I'm thinking of adding an aftermarket flywheel. I do know my around a wrench but I'm not a mechanic. Is changing the flywheel something I could do, or should I let the pro's handle it?P.S. How long does one have to wait for aftermarket parts to start showing up? IE (Euro Tail Lights & Body Kit) Thanks |

From what I understand, this is probably something you should let a professional handle. To change the flywheel, you have to take out the transaxle, which on the Foucs is harder than on many cars. I'm planning on upgrading my flywheel, clutch, and adding a limited slip differential all at once so that they only have to take it apart once.
P.S. Which flywheel are you looking at? The Focus Sport one is listed as fitting the Zetec, but I think it should work because the transmission is the same. |

Thanks, I was not sure how complicated the process was. As for the Flywheel type, the one on Focus Sport is the one I was looking at.
